Got the job with the newspaper. Started a week ago today, actually. Things have been really interesting, but I'm finally starting to feel like I'm getting things down at least a little. You can find my articles, when I write them, at www.examiner.org.
Other than that, nothing goes on. I get up at 6:30 a.m., go to work at 7:30 a.m., get home between 3 and 4 p.m. and go to bed by 10:30 p.m.... rinse and repeat. And, as part of that, I'm going to go shower now.

Nerves
Well, I got those two interviews. Yay? Maybe? I hate interviews, but I know they lead to jobs... and they never go as bad as I think they will.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2:00 is the one with the Logan County Auditor's office (with the auditor himself :-O). It's for the job of "Real Property Account Clerk." *shrug* It involves reading maps and having math skills, both of which I can do quite well if I do say so. It would probably be cool no matter what. When I worked for the law firm I used to have to go down to those offices all the time and really enjoyed it. I suppose I'm not really worried about this one, except for the vague details of the job which means I don't know how to prep myself.
However, Thursday at 2:00 is the interview with the Bellefontaine Examiner to be a General Assignment Reporter. This is cool because, believe it or not, I spent a couple years devoting my life to a newspaper. The only downside would be that I like editing more than reporting, but if this is the arena God wants to push me into, who am I to resist? At least I know Bellefontaine and do have some experience interviewing and writing.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see. It would be appropriate for me to get a job now. I always put my school work off until the last minute, might as well get a job at the last minute before my loan payments start. For now I should get to bed so that I have all my beauty rest for tomorrow! :-D

I suppose I could try to post here...
I never really intended to use this blog, just to make the SN in order to be able to comment on other people's bloggers. Okay, really, it was so I could comment with more ease at darkufo.blogspot.com, but don't tell anyone. ;-)
Life and stuff is happening. Graduation is not all it's cracked up to be -- trust me. You spend four years setting up the perfect life, routine, friendships, jobs, etc., and then suddenly one day they hand you a piece of expensive paper and say "thanks, but no thanks, don't come back now." While the piece of paper looks very nice on my lime green wall, I'd rather be working with the glossy yearbook paper or the staining newspaper paper or the academic paper paper... instead I'm working with more expensive paper, begging people who don't really care about me to notice me and give me a chance in their professional world. So far, it has not been successful. My advice right after "don't graduate": don't move to Ohio. Sure it has some perks (like changing leaves, cooler weather... I'm out of perks), but honestly? How are there no jobs in this vast state? I never imagined that I wouldn't have a job by my birthday (and I don't think I'm getting hired in the next two days).
Guess I'll go back to working on my resume. The Bellefontaine Examiner is hiring a general events reporter... saying what I did for journalism in a cover letter is harder than you'd think!

Just a dollar!
Seriously. My plan to pay off my student loans is to get just one dollar from 100,000 people!! It could work, guys. You could be a part of it! I seriously only want a dollar. You spent three times that buying coffee or fast food sometime this week. If you want to send me one, contact me and I'll get you an address. Then you can pass this on to all of your friends!
